Standalone Operation
On-device results with no need for a tablet or phone with easy switching between MIP/MEP mode and SMIP/SMEP (full breath) mode. This is ideal for performing tests when pairing with a device is inconvenient.
MIP/MEP Mode
In MIP/MEP mode, the front LED turns GREEN after the pressure begins to decrease for more than 1 second.
At this point, the patient should stop the breath. The result will stay on the screen for 1 minute or until the next breath is taken.
SMIP/SMEP (Full Breath) Mode
In SMIP/SMEP mode, all the results will be displayed in the order: MIP or MEP, Power (SMIP/SMEP), Time and FIT score.
Results continue to cycle for 1 minute or until the next breath is taken.
Changing Modes
You can change between MIP / MEP measurement and SMIP / SMEP (full breath) measurement.
Press and hold the power button until the LED by the mouthpiece lights up blue.
When you release the power button the display will show the new mode.
